Holy Spirit Hospital's Pastoral Care Department offers a Bereavement Support Group/Lecture Series for anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one. It is also offered to those who care about friends who are grieving. Various aspects of the grieving process will be discussed to help individuals understand how to cope with grief and how to develop skills necessary to turn their mourning into cherished memories of their loved ones. The support group will meet several times throughout the year. The six-week sessions are held from 1-2:30 p.m. or 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Holy Spirit Hospital Pastoral Care Department. May. 27, 2013 : Holy Spirit Walking Loop

Join Holy Spirit every Monday at the Colonial Park Mall from 8 a.m. to noon. Keep active while avoiding the winter chills and summer heat through mall walking. The program is designed to provide a secure and healthy walking environment to keep your body moving. Also, enjoy access to Holy Spirit health screenings and educational health lectures.

May. 28, 2013 : Mom's Place Support Group

Holy Spirit Health System offers a free support group for pregnant women and new mothers with babies less than 15 months old. “Mom’s Place” is for women who feel alone, afraid, overwhelmed, sad or worried. “Mom’s Place” meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 20 Erford Road, Suite 11, Lemoyne.

“Mom’s Place” is led by social workers and therapists from Holy Spirit Hospital’s Behavioral Health department. The group is educational, supportive, and fun. Light refreshments are provided. “Mom’s Place” also hosts family night where women can bring partners or spouses and family. For more information, please call 763-2200.

Jun. 4, 2013 : Free Blood Pressure Screening (Mechanicsburg)

Holy Spirit offers FREE blood pressure screenings at the Joseph T. Simpson Library, 16 North Walnut Street, Mechanicsburg, on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.

Jun. 5, 2013 : Free and Low-cost Health Screenings

Holy Spirit Hospital offers free and low-cost health screenings to the public each month. Screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol ($5), colorectal, and glucose ($2). The screenings are offered in the hospital auditorium from 2 to 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.

Holy Spirit also offers free blood pressure screenings at the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, 100 North 19th Street, Camp Hill, each Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and at the Joseph T. Simpson Library, 16 North Walnut Street, Mechanicsburg, on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.

Holy Spirit Imaging Centers offer free bone density screenings at convenient locations every month. For dates and locations, and to schedule your free bone density screening, call (717) 972-4900. Jun. 10, 2013 : "Child of My Heart" Support Group

Holy Spirit Health System offers a free support group for those who have experienced miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or the death of a child. “Child of My Heart” meets on the second Monday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The support group is led by a nurse practitioner from Holy Spirit Hospital’s Behavioral Health department.
