Posted: 6 November 2012

Rupen Modi, DO, MBA, FACEP, recently was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP).  The distinction of FACEP is achieved only by select board-certified emergency physicians. This honor is awarded to emergency physicians that have made significant contributions to the advancement of emergency medicine and have demonstrated commitment to emergency medicine.

Dr. Modi is an emergency medicine physician at Holy Spirit Hospital’s John R. Dietz Emergency Center and is employed by EmCare.

ACEP Fellowship was first established in 1982 to honor members who made special contributions to the college and the specialty of emergency medicine. Requirements for Fellow Status include active membership status for three continuous years; board certification by ABEM, AOBEM, or ABP certification for pediatric emergency physicians; and additional service to the specialty.
