Radiography uses the latest X-ray technology to create images of internal body structures to detect disease or injury. Radiologic Technologists are professionals, skilled in patient interaction, patient care and radiation protection. They work closely with physicians and nurses in areas such as the Emergency Department and Operating Room.
Holy Spirit provides the most comprehensive training in radiography in the region. Currently, the job market for Radiologic Technology is excellent. In fact, many of our students secure employment even before they graduate.
Radiologic Technologists can choose to work in a hospital, physician's office or clinic, or in settings such as mobile radiography, education, military or sales. They have the opportunity to travel around the country while working for temporary agencies.
The Holy Spirit Hospital School of Radiologic Technology is affiliated with Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). Additional information about the program can be obtained on HACC’s health careers website at: http://www.hacc.edu/HealthCareers/ProgramsOffered/RadiologicTechnologist/index.cfm
To request a complete package of application materials for our School of Radiologic Technology, send an e-mail to the Radiography School Program Director, RadiographySchoolProgramDirector@hsh.org
