A ceremony was held onsite today at 431 North 21st Street, Camp Hill, to commemorate the start of construction. Fundraiser to Benefit The Birthplace

On Saturday, November 10, the Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary will host its 22nd annual Share the Spirit Gala at the West Shore Country Club. The Gala will begin at 6 p.m., and includes cocktails, dinner and dancing. A silent auction and raffle drawing will also be held. Entertainment will be provided by Pentagon. Black tie attire is optional.

Health Screenings and Flu Shots Offered in October

Holy Spirit Hospital offers free and low-cost health screenings to the public each month. Screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol ($5), colorectal, and glucose ($2). The screenings are offered in the hospital auditorium from 2 to 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. On October 3, from 2 to 6 p.m., flu shots will be offered to individuals 18 years of age and older for $26. Charges will be submitted for those with Medicare Part B. No appointment is necessary.

One-on-one Diabetes Education Now Being Offered at Carlisle Center

Holy Spirit Diabetes Services is now offering individualized diabetes education at the Holy Spirit Carlisle Center. Mona Lemanski, RD, certified diabetes educator and licensed dietitian and nutritionist, will provide one-on-one education for people with pre-diabetes and diabetes. A physician’s referral is needed. Most insurance plans are accepted. To schedule a one-hour appointment, please contact Holy Spirit Diabetes Services at 763-2466.

Construction Begins on the Holy Spirit Progress Center

Holy Spirit Health System held an event last week commemorating the start of construction of the Holy Spirit Progress Center at 20 Capital Drive, Harrisburg. Holy Spirit will be consolidating several outpatient services at this facility, as well as opening its second sleep center. The four-bed sleep center will help physicians diagnose sleep disorders using the latest technology.
