Free Program on Living Wills and Advance Directives

The 6th annual National Healthcare Decisions Day is Saturday, April 20. This day was designated to bring awareness to advance directives and living wills.  These important documents represent what healthcare choices you’d like or not if you were unable to communicate due to an accident or illness.  These documents also allow you to name a healthcare power of attorney or legal advocate to make these decisions for you if you are unable.

Holy Spirit Progress Center to Open March 27

Holy Spirit Health System will open its new Holy Spirit Progress Center at 20 Capital Drive, Harrisburg, on Wednesday, March 27. The center will offer outpatient services including imaging, laboratory collection and EKG services, as well as a four-bed sleep center. Capital Cardiovascular Associates also will relocate from 5 Capital Drive, Harrisburg, to this new center.

Educational Seminar on How to Live Healthy with Heart Disease

Christopher Spizzieri, DO, FACC, FASE, a cardiologist with Capital Cardiovascular Associates, will present “Healthy Living with Heart Disease” on Thursday, February 21, at 6 p.m. The lecture will be held in Holy Spirit Hospital’s Auditorium.

Holy Spirit's Spirit of Women Program to Offer “Steps to a Woman’s Healthy Heart” Seminar

A special health education session titled “Steps to a Woman’s Health Heart” will be presented as part of Holy Spirit Health System’s Day of Dance for Health event on Saturday, February 23. The hour-long session will be held at the Radisson Hotel, Camp Hill, at 11:30 a.m.  It is free to attend, but open to Holy Spirit’s Spirit of Women members who pre-register by calling (717) 763-2100. Registration is limited to 150 attendees. A light lunch will be provided at no cost to attendees.

Day of Dance for Health Schedule Announced

Holy Spirit Health System is hosting its sixth annual Spirit of Women dance event in February. “Day of Dance for Your Health” will be held on Saturday, February 23, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill. The day will include dancing demonstrations and instruction, learning how to keep your heart healthy and more! Registration is required to attend this free event.   • Holy Spirit Hospital has applied to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the prestigious designation of Magnet. The Magnet designation recognizes excellence in nursing services. 
  • Patients, family members, staff, and interested parties who would like to provide comments are encouraged to do so. Anyone may send comments via e-mail, fax, and direct mail. All phone comments to the Magnet Program Office must be followed up in writing.
