Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner Education Program Offered

Holy Spirit Health System will host its fifth annual Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner Education Program for those interested in teaching others how to use this model. Applications are currently being accepted for the 13-month Practitioner Program which consists of two education phases, two supervised practica and an onsite visit. Students are taught basic and advanced aspects of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System. The use of this system can help women achieve or avoid pregnancy, as well as assist healthcare providers in evaluation and treatment of infertility, repetitive miscarriage, abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, PMS, and perimenopausal symptoms.

Free Program on Living Wills and Advance Directives

The 6th annual National Healthcare Decisions Day is Saturday, April 20. This day was designated to bring awareness to advance directives and living wills.  These important documents represent what healthcare choices you’d like or not if you were unable to communicate due to an accident or illness.  These documents also allow you to name a healthcare power of attorney or legal advocate to make these decisions for you if you are unable.

One-on-one Diabetes Education Now Being Offered at Carlisle Center

Holy Spirit Diabetes Services is now offering individualized diabetes education at the Holy Spirit Carlisle Center. Mona Lemanski, RD, certified diabetes educator and licensed dietitian and nutritionist, will provide one-on-one education for people with pre-diabetes and diabetes. A physician’s referral is needed. Most insurance plans are accepted. To schedule a one-hour appointment, please contact Holy Spirit Diabetes Services at 763-2466.
