Imaging Services

Holy Spirit Imaging Services assists healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of diseases. From routine X-rays to the high-tech 4D imagery, Holy Spirit Imaging provides imaging services through the emergency center, for patients admitted to the hospital, or through its outpatient imaging centers, located within the hospital and in surrounding communities.

The main Imaging department is located within Holy Spirit Hospital and offers diagnostic studies in advanced interventional services including invasive and non-invasive vascular testing, digital radiography, nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology services, and multi-slice computed tomography (CT) scanning.

Holy Spirit's Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) offers a state-of-the-art magnet providing superior, accurate, high resolution quality images in a short amount of time. In conjunction with the non-invasive cardiology department, Nuclear Cardiology offers nuclear stress tests and pharmacologic stress tests. MRI and Nuclear Cardiology are located on the ground floor of The Ortenzio Heart Center at Holy Spirit for more convenient patient accessibility.

The Imaging department uses the latest digital imaging technology including a Picture Archival Communication System (PACS). The hospital campus location also serves patients needing special outpatient imaging services, including pediatric services.

Imaging Services at Holy Spirit Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergency procedures. The CT, Ultrasound and MRI departments offer evening appointments. CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine offer Saturday appointments. All appointments can be scheduled by calling (717) 972-4900.

Holy Spirit has eight outpatient imaging centers to serve the greater Harrisburg area:

  • Holy Spirit Women's Imaging Center, 875 Poplar Church Road
  • Holy Spirit Mechanicsburg Center, 405 St. Johns Church Road (formerly Quantum Imaging Outpatient Center)
  • Holy Spirit Colonial Park Center, 4230 Crums Mill Road
  • Holy Spirit Dillsburg Center, 126 W. Church Street
  • Holy Spirit Duncannon Center, 51 Business Campus Way
  • Holy Spirit Imaging Services at Oakwood Cancer Center, 880 Century Drive

Evening and Saturday appointments are available. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (717) 972-4900.

All Holy Spirit outpatient imaging centers offer digital mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound and general X-ray services. The Colonial Park Center, Mechanicsburg Center and Camp Hill Center also offer bone densitometry services. The Camp Hill Center and the Colonial Park Center also offer fluoroscopy services. In addition, the Camp Hill Center, Colonial Park Center and Mechanicsburg Center offer CT scanning. The Mechanicsburg Center also offers virtual colonoscopy.

Free bone density screenings are provided at the outpatient imaging centers by appointment by calling (717) 972-4900. The Holy Spirit Imaging Centers use MammoPads® during the exam for comfort and warmth for all mammography patients.

All of our studies are reviewed by radiologists from Quantum Imaging and Therapeutic Associates, Inc. a recognized leader in the field of diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Quantum provides the physician staffing at all Holy Spirit’s Imaging Centers.
