Inpatient Care

The Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Holy Spirit is an extension of the pediatric services provided in Danville. The four-bed pediatric inpatient unit greatly enhances the hospital’s ability to care for pediatric patients, from newborn to age 18, and represents Holy Spirit’s continuing commitment to providing needed medical services for patients. 

Inpatient services offered include, but are not limited to:

  • Respiratory distress (bronchiolitis, asthma, pneumonia)
  • Dehydration
  • Infections (facial, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, neurologic, skin)
  • Accidental ingestions and poisoning
  • Failure to thrive
  • Intractable migraine episodes
  • Fever without a source
  • Acute and chronic pancreatitis

Appropriate follow-up care or consults with primary care physicians and subspecialists are available.

Advanced Pediatric Specialty Care

The same specialty care found at Geisinger’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville is offered at Holy Spirit Silver Creek Center, 335 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg. Outpatient Pediatric Care

The pediatricians at Holy Spirit Pediatrics–Mechanicsburg have completed three-year residencies in pediatrics and have years of experience in addressing children’s health needs.

Children’s health services include:
